Add Country CodePrivacy policy
This policy explains how the Add Country Code Android app ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. The short version: your contacts never leave your phone.
1. Contacts
The app asks for permission to read and write your contacts. It needs this permission to find phone numbers without a country code and update them to international format.
- All contact processing happens locally on your device.
- We do not upload, copy, store on a server, sell or share your contacts or phone numbers.
- We do not read any contact details other than what is needed to update phone numbers.
2. Backups
Before making changes, the app saves a backup of your phone numbers in the app's private storage on your device. This backup is used only for the Revert Changes feature. It is not sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes the backup.
3. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Google may share limited purchase information with us (such as an order number) so that we can confirm a purchase and help with refunds. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising
The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address and general device information. This is handled by Google under its own policies; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Your contacts are never shared with any ad provider.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device).
5. Information we receive when you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and keep it only as long as needed to help you.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your rights
Because we do not collect your contacts or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data held by us to access or delete, other than any emails you send us. To ask us to delete your emails, write to support@addcountrycode.com.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
